CeLRRd has started to provide free legal aid on the basis of the recommendation of the research. When research found out that more than 50 % prisoners are deprived from the legal representation and under the vulnerable situation.

Presently more than 5500 cases have been represented by the CelRRd under the legal aid project. more than 4500 cases has already been finalized and 1700 cases are still sub judiced in the different court and tribunals.

The detail scenario of the cases can be seen as under.

The Survey of whole seventy three jails in Nepal had carried out to find out the situation of the prisoners. Information's were gathered to assess the needs of legal aid on the basis of interview of total 1955 prisoners. Trainings on management skill of lawyer were conduced.
